Sylvia’s Place Community Training programs provide essential safety education to caregivers, families, and community members. Our goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and confidence needed to respond effectively during emergencies and critical situations.
Call 911 immediately. Begin chest compressions at a rate of 100–120 per minute. Place hands at the center of the chest and press firmly and consistently. Continue until emergency responders arrive or the person shows signs of recovery.
Check responsiveness and breathing. Loosen tight clothing and position the person on their side if unconscious. Do not give food or drink. Call 911 if they do not regain consciousness quickly.
Call 911 immediately for chest pain, difficulty breathing, seizures, loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, suspected stroke, or any situation that appears life-threatening.
